For the best part of this year life got majorly in the way of my music blogging, but I finally managed to sift through my photos of the event back in March – here they are!
This year, once again, the show was mostly populated by smaller companies whose offerings have nothing to envy the big names for.
The Main Hall was as busy as ever:
And so was the Entrance Hall:
We spotted a few well known faces in the crowd. Here is Dave Swift with fiancee Lucy (and Bump, now lovely baby Oscar) talking to Andrew Gouche
Once again, we enjoyed some mesmerising performances and masterclasses.
A first this year was the opening of an additional room, the teaching centre: Scott Devine’s lessons
Here he is surrounded by students and fellow tutor Steve Lawson.
And we had all of our favourite exhibitors, and more!
Sam, Tina, Ricky (Charic), Chris (Ped)
Dan Veall (Dood) with Ped
Si (MacDaddy) guards the Basschat table while the others take a break
Cody and Ida jam at the Eich stand!
And here is fellow lefty Peter with his upside-down-but-correctly-strung bass guitar!
I like both the bass and the stylish stand.
Stuart and Nick with sister basses
I like that!
Ellen O’Reilly on bass with her power girls
Love ’em, just love ’em.
There’s no missing a single resonant vibration with this bolt-on system and the through-body strings.
Juan ‘Snow Owl’ García Herreros
Juan with Andreas Neubauer
Stand well back!
Two lefties (me included) and a lovely acoustic
Sever and Bill
Possibly the cleverest lightweight hardware systems I’ve seen so far!
The etched line will help you see the amount of turn on the knob
And they make beautiful, lightweight, personalised aluminium knobs, and appropriate earrings!
My Corvette with the knobs in situ.
Basschatter Chris Sharman bought that one!
Ellio and Marc at the stand
Marc feels Phil Mann’s love
Definitely looking forward to March 2018!
